About Me

IMG_0454 I’m a Galway based food and wine writer, a self taught cook, using my website as a vehicle to share my own recipes, reviews, love of food, quality produce (particularly Irish), good wine, and cocktails, particularly whiskey and bourbon based. I also have a keen interest in food photography and styling and take all my own pictures to accompany my recipes.

With a keen interest in all types of gastronomy, from classic cookery to Italian, Indian and Asian, and in dishes from savoury to pastry, there’s not much that doesn’t capture my attention. I have, however, a particular affinity for taking home cooking and baking to the next level, challenging others to recreate the perfect dish at home, while educating in my years of collected knowledge. Wine and spirits are another great joy and as a wine writer for the Business Post I am able to delve into my years of experience offering an insight into pairing wine with food while attempting to break down the barriers of accessibility so that everyone can enjoy the wonders of the wine world at home or in hospitality.
